My name is Jennifer and I am the owner & creator of Harper Street jewelry.  I have been making jewelry for nearly a year now, however I started Harper Street very recently – in November of 2008. 

About me:
I was born & raised on the east coast, so my heart will always reside there.  I was born in Frederick, Maryland and my family moved to nearby Harpers Ferry, West Virginia shortly after (the name Harper Street is an ode to my beloved hometown).  Living so close to Washington, DC yet out in the boondocks of West Virginia helped to shape who I am – a small-town (and, okay, just a little redneck) girl with aspirations of moving to the “big city”… whatever city that may be.

I went to college at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia from 2002-2006 and majored in advertising – my first love.  There, I met the next love of my life – my boyfriend John.  When I graduated college, I took a huge leap and moved to John’s home state – Washington.  We drove across the country with Seattle as our destination… and I had never even seen the west coast.  We currently live right outside of Seattle in Redmond, WA – home of Microsoft & Nintendo.  I actually work for Microsoft, the huge software giant, in their MSN/Live.com department handling search marketing.  I love Microsoft, but I always knew that something was missing… that I needed something extra.  I decided to find a creative hobby, and jewelry was a perfect fit.

My goal with Harper Street is to provide fashionable & trendy jewelry that is made with great quality – and is affordable!  Growing up with very little money, I could never have afforded so much high-quality jewelry as I now own – and it’s all because I can make it myself!  I am constantly creating, so stop by HarperStreet.Etsy.com or HarperStreet.com often to find something new!
